#6- Interent use in the Elementary Classroom (part 1 and 2)
I feel that there are many pros and cons to using the Internet inside of an Elementary classroom. It is very important to introduce computers and the Internet to children at a young age since the world revolves around computers today. The Internet has some wonderful sites that young children can navigate all by themselves. My favorite is 4kids.org. this website allows children to play free educational games! The only thing that bothers me about Internet usage is that there needs to be guidance from the teachers and the parents (if it is to be used at home); this is very appropriate to ensure that children are not using inappropriate websites!

I strongly agree that computers basically run our society today. If you do not have a computer or do not know how to work one you are in trouble. Everything these days focuses on the internet or computers in general. I also feel that there are excellent educational site that young children can explore and have fun with. I feel that when young children are using computers it should be monitored at all times by an adult. I have never visited your website that you mention in your comment but it seems interesting. I will have to explore and see what it is about!!
I agree with this completely. Children should begin learning how to use computers at a young age and it's completely true that technology is becoming more and more of our daily lives. We also have to be aware of what the children are doing on the computer beacuse their safety is important. I enjoy the websites that have interactive games on there for the children to play, and some are even educational.
